The Vote Of Thanks

This is a one or two minute thank you to the speakers on behalf of the audience.

You will be invited to propose a vote of thanks by the Toastmaster, at the end of the prepared speech section, and before the evaluation.

Make a one or two sentence comment about the contents of each speech - not the presentation style, that is the evaluator's role. You may wish to remind the audience of some thing that you learned, something that inspired you, perhaps even something that you will do in the future as a result of the speech. If the speech was a story, you may wish to comment on the way the suspense had you gripping the edge of your seat, or how the humour had you rolling in the aisle.

Do not offer suggestions for improvement, again that is the evaluator's job. Your role in proposing a vote of thanks is to compliment and to show appreciation for the effort that the speakers have put into their presentations.
